Little Strömstad Opens for business!!!
The official opening of 'Little Strömstad'
was conducted by Strömstad's Business Co-ordinator Mr Björn Alm and Ledbury's
Mayor Cllr Phil Bettington.
In the spirit of Ledbury's literary associations, Poetry Festival and heritage a
small poem was written by committee members for the Bar's naming ceremony which
was read for the first time at the event and a copy presented to Strömstad,
with a hamper of local produce. A copy of the poem is given below, along
with the English translation.
Björn Alm and Wadworth Brewery's representative, Jonathon Pollock, were
delighted with Ledbury's gesture and made reference to the importance of
strengthening international friendships and of understanding others' cultures,
which has been particularly highlighted over recent weeks.
Björn Alm has spent his visit touring local businesses and schools in the
Ledbury area with a view to encouraging further business, youth and cultural
links between the two towns.
