The Swedish firm IKEA has loaned Viking helmets and national costumes to Ledbury's Swedish Twinning Group for a special "Swedish Evening" at the Community Centre.

The free event, next Friday, December 6, at 6.30pm, has been organised by the group to celebrate the town's enduring link with Stromstad in Sweden.

Twinning group spokesman Sarah Grout said: "The evening will be a light-hearted celebration of our twinning with the coastal town."

There will be presentations, photographic displays and stories of last year's events, accompanied by some traditional food and drink.
